Mental Health Therapist and RTY

Dr.  Sy earned her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Minnesota and her Doctorate from the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work.  Dr. Sy currently serves as a senior therapist at Reclaim and is a former full-time faculty at the University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine University (UST/SCU) in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Dr. Sy combines mindfulness based social work practice and intercultural theory in her work training direct practitioners to work with diverse populations across the Twin Cities Metropolitan area.  She is passionate about social justice and human rights.  She co-facilitates a mentoring group for aspiring mental health practitioners of color at Reclaim.  She specializes in trauma and dissociative disorders.  She is an EMDR level-2 certified practitioner and a level-1 Somatic Experiencing practitioner.

LAWNA GAMBLE, Behavioral Specialist
Lawna Gamble will complete coursework for her Masters of Psychotherapy & Counseling from the Adler Graduate School in Richfield, MN in March 2016. Her professional mission is to maximize the capacity and productivity of people by tailoring interventions to each person’s mistaken beliefs, goal-driven behavior and unique lifestyle. She is inspired by her interdisciplinary expertise in Individual Psychology, community development strategies, inclusion/multicultural competence and creative solutions to enhance overall wellness and mental strength. Lawna actively infuses art into the therapeutic process. She currently: serves as a full-time for helping professional at People Incorporated in the Homeless Division assisting clients through the Safehaven Project; is a member of the People of Color Cohort at Reclaim in Minneapolis; has a Personal Assistant Certification; is published in professional academic journals; and is a foster dog “mom”.
